Alissa Walstead is the founder of Golden Music Therapy. She completed her initial General Music Bachelor of Arts degree in 2017 at Vanguard University of Southern California. In 2019, she went on to receive her Music Therapy Equivalency degree from St. Mary of the Woods College, followed by her Music Therapy Board Certification.

In addition to Alissa’s formal Music Therapy training, she has received Sound Birthing Music Therapy education where she has gained specialized skills in the areas of Music Therapy for pre and perinatal babies and their families. She believes in the power of evidence based music therapy interventions as a way to support the whole individual (mind, body, and spirit).

Compassionate and personalized care are her top priorities.

Alissa founded Golden Music Therapy in an effort to create better access to Music Therapy resources for birthing families both in the Twin Cities and through virtual sessions.
